Vitamin C is available in caplets, tablets, capsules, drink mix packets, in multi-vitamin formulations, in multiple antioxidant formulations, and as crystalline powder. Timed release versions are available, as are formulations containing bioflavonoids such as quercetin, hesperidin, and rutin. Tablet and capsule sizes range from 25 mg to 1500 mg. Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) crystals are typically available in bottles containing 300 g to 1 kg of powder
I like this choice-- unfortunately, my children find it too sour and I got it for them! I really cannot understand because I find it a mild tasting vitamin... These are big wafers--- and a big bottle-- not good for travel as it is glass. However, for me, I like glass at home.

Beyond the usual reasons for taking large quantities of acerola/vitamin C....I take these religiously to stop gallstones from forming and in order to avoid gallbladder removal surgery! I was diagnosed w/massive stones after experiencing unending pain from gallbladder attacks about 6 mos ago. Ever since then I have taken 4 of these tablets a day and have been (almost...95% time) pain free!!!! Probably any formulation of vit C does the trick BUT these things taste very good and I NEVER forget to take them!

This stuff is amazing. Ascerola has prevented at least twenty colds from developing from initial sniffles into real colds for me. They are delicious and they actually, really, work!
